I visited Halfords Wallasey on July 8th, 2023 to have a new battery supplied and fitted. Beth and John were the technicians who worked on my car, and I must say they were incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They encountered some difficulty with a stubborn bolt that was spinning but not loosening, but they persevered and tried different solutions until they found one that worked. I am extremely satisfied with the service provided by Beth and John, and if they are working at that specific Halfords branch in the future, I will definitely return.

"I highly recommend avoiding the click and collect option and instead going to the store in person or considering shopping elsewhere."
I didn't receive any notification that my order was ready even after waiting for two days. When I finally had the chance to go in, I quickly found my order. However, when I reached the checkout counter, I had to inquire if my order had actually been set aside. It turned out that it had, but they had failed to process it. This experience has made me consider going elsewhere for my future purchases.

"The customer service is not customer-oriented."
The customer service is not focused on the customer's needs, as I have been given the runaround regarding my order. Initially, the item was promised to arrive in July, but it was later delayed until mid-August. This information was confirmed during multiple phone calls. However, now they are insisting that I fill out a form to confirm that I haven't received the item, even though it is evident from the tracking information that it hasn't been shipped yet. This is so they can process a refund. I also encountered difficulties during the early phone calls, as the representatives' spoken English was poor.

The customer service and overall shopping experience were absolutely delightful. Donna, a lovely lady, assisted me in booking my daughter's bike for brake repairs and adjustments due to a broken part. Arnie, a big guy, went above and beyond in explaining the issue and the associated cost. Despite it being lunchtime and the store being busy, they were incredibly pleasant to deal with and managed to have the bike ready within an hour. I truly wish all companies were as exceptional as this one. A heartfelt thank you to Donna and Arnie.

"The service at Cleveland Retail Park is absolutely terrible."
I went to the Halfords shop at Cleveland Retail Park two weeks ago to get an Air Con check. They told me that I needed more gas and I ended up paying £104 for a canister and gas top-up. However, within a week, there was no improvement. I decided to visit them again, but they completely dismissed my concerns and showed no interest in helping me. Frustrated, I went to our local garage, where they found no mechanical faults and realized that the gas hadn't been topped up enough. Thankfully, they did the job for free since we already had the canister. It's disappointing how Halfords quickly takes your money but then ignores any issues you have. The service I received from the Cleveland Retail Park branch was absolutely appalling. I will never go back there again.

"The staff is absolutely lovely, but the store's accessibility is just terrible."
The staff at this place are truly delightful. However, it is absolutely impossible to get in touch with the store. They don't provide a phone number, and the chat feature on the Halfords website is nothing more than an unhelpful automated bot. After leaving my bike for servicing, I received perplexing automated messages, which forced me to rely on someone else for transportation to physically visit the store and speak to an actual person in order to find out when I could expect my bike to be returned.
