The delivery was really fast. Like, I ordered it and it felt like it showed up almost right away, faster than my usual packages, faster than some takeout orders, and definitely faster than stuff I’ve bought from other places recently. I ordered a few bits for my car from Halfords and, to be honest, I half expected at least one thing to be the wrong size or missing. But everything that showed up was exactly what I’d picked online. Delivery was decent, packaging was fine, and the whole thing was just straightforward. It wasn’t a massive order, but they got it right, so I’m happy with it.

I reached out for help twice and both times it felt like I was just being brushed off, like I was bothering them by asking. It also made me wonder if there were hidden fees or something they didn’t want to explain clearly. Overall, not a great experience.

I went in needing new wipers, and the staff pretty much knew right away which ones would fit my car. They explained it quickly without making it complicated, which I appreciated. The wait wasn’t exactly perfect, but my gut says they knew what they were doing and were trying to help. Overall, a good experience.

Had an issue with my order and, shockingly, it took longer than I’d hoped to get an actual useful reply. It was frustrating at first, but once I finally got through to the right person, they sorted it out and refunded the part I’d been wrongly charged for. Not exactly a flawless experience, but to be fair, they did deal with the complaint in the end.

"Simple bulb change turned into a bit of a hassle"
I only went in to get a bulb changed, but it ended up feeling like I had to keep saying no to extra stuff. The staff were polite, to be fair, but every step seemed to come with another add-on, checks, cover, wipers, fitting bits, all of it. I also wasn’t always clear on what was supposed to happen next, so I kept having to ask or just wait around a bit awkwardly. I get that they have to offer things, but it felt a bit pushy. Got what I needed in the end, but I left feeling more annoyed than I expected.

"Can’t ever get a straight answer about appointments"
Every time I try to book, there are no appointments available for weeks. What makes it even more frustrating is that I keep getting different answers depending on who I talk to. One person says to check back tomorrow, another says nothing is open at all, and someone else makes it sound like there might be cancellations. It’s just annoying when you need an appointment and can’t get a clear answer

I had a small issue with my order and wasn’t totally sure what was going on at first, so I contacted halfords. Bit confused about the whole thing, but they replied way faster than I expected and got it sorted without any fuss. Was actually really nice to have someone get back to me so quickly.

"Battery got sorted, but the updates were a bit messy"
Booked a mobile battery fitting. The guy who came out was friendly enough, no issues there, and he did arrive within the time slot. The actual battery fitting was done fine too. It was more the bit before that felt a little all over the place. Updates weren’t very clear, and I ended up having to chase once just to know what was happening. So yeah, job done in the end, just not quite as smooth as I was expecting.

"Honestly, a bit of a letdown"
I ordered a bike accessory from Halfords and when it turned up, I immediately thought, oh no, this feels way cheaper than I expected. Fitting it was okay, nothing too dramatic there, but then one of the parts cracked after just a few days of use, which felt like the universe personally attacking my bike plans. Delivery was totally fine, no complaints there, but the product quality really let it down. I expected much better, to be honest.

I ordered online and went to pick it up the next day. The staff did find my order in the end, which was a relief, but it took a bit longer than I expected. The counter felt a little messy and I wasn’t totally sure at first if everything was going to be sorted out. It wasn’t a bad experience, just could’ve been a bit smoother and more reassuring

"Stock info was wrong"
Checked the website and it said the wipers I needed were in stock, so I drove over. Got there and the staff told me they were all gone. Frustrating and just a waste of time. They really need to keep the stock info updated
